Doctors & Staff

Our staff is ready and able to help in all aspects of your eyecare, from examination and diagnostic screenings, to contact lens fittings and eyewear selection. We have over seventy-five years of optical experience, including ten staff members with certifications from the American Board of Opticians, the National Contact Lens Examiners, and the American Optometric Association's Paraoptometric Section.

Dr. Jill S. Anderson,
Optometrist

Dr. Anderson received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she received her degree as a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Anderson is a highly skilled contact lens specialist, receiving her Southern Diplomate in Contact Lenses from the Southeastern Conference of Optometry, and is Board Certified in Therapeutics by the State of Florida. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the West Florida Optometric Association.

Carol McDonald, ABOC, NCLEC
Optometric Technician

Along with ensuring each patient receives the highest level of personal attention, Carol is our contact lens specialist. She works directly with our doctors to ensure that the contact lenses ordered for our patients meet all of the parameters needed to provide the sharpest vision possible for each patient. Carol is also an NCLE Cerfitied Member of the Contact Lens Society of America and also certified by the American Board of Opticianry.

Kristy Whelan,
Appointment Specialist

Kristy is our front desk coordinator and appointment specialist. She works diligently to keep our office flowing and to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of personal care. Kristy also works with our patients to ensure that insurance benefits are available for each of them before the time of their scheduled exam.

Dana Mack, CPO
Lab Manager

Dana is our Lab Manager. She ensures that each patients spectacle order is handled in a professional manner. Dana strives to give each patient the highest level of service while providing the best lens options for each patients' visual needs. In addition to these duties, Dana also is responsible for many of our behind the scenes functions including insurance filing, frame orders, and bookkeeping functions. She has been certified by the American Optometric Association's Paraoptometric Section as a Certified Paraoptometric.

Linda Beach,
Optometric Technician

Linda brings with her over 25 years of experience in the optical field. In addition to assisting patients, Linda is our LASIK coordinator. She works with our primary referral group, Panhandle Vision Institute, to ensure that we can give each of our patients the best information concerning surgery options and pricing.

Susan Woodson,
Optometric Technician

Suzi is one of our Optometric Technicians. She ensures that each patient is handled in a professional manner, taking the time to efficiently manage each individual case. Suzi strives to give each patient the highest level of service while providing the most useful options for each patients' visual requirements. In addition to these duties, Suzi also helps to manage our recall and reactivation process to ensure that none of our patients are left behind in regards to their eye health and visual needs.

Philip Anderson,
Administrator

Philip graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Hospitality Management. He has been the office manager since 1997, when he and his wife (Dr. Anderson) became partners with Dr. Taylor, who has since retired. Philip oversees daily office activities, as well as managing all of the office's accounting and insurance systems. He strives to ensure that each patient is treated in a professional manner with a touch of personal care.
